Barbara Odom-Wesley, PhD, RHIA,
FAHIMA is chair of the Health Information Technology
Program at DeVry University in Dallas. Barbara is Past
President of both TXIMA and AHIMA. She is a published
author and frequently requested speaker specializing in
Personal Health Records.
Debra Schumann, MBA, RN, BSN has
over 30 years pediatric clinical experience including
roles as staff nurse, clinical educator and nursing
director. She has 8 years of clinical IT experience
with implementation and support of electronic health
records including clinical documentation and bar coded
medication administration with multiple vendors. She is
currently the Clinical Informatics Director at
Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
Debra Patterson, MD is a
board-certified in internal medicine. Following
residency, she engaged in the clinical practice of
general internal medicine for 19 years. Dr. Patterson
joined Trailblazer in 1997 as a part-time Contractor
Medical Director, becoming full-time in 1999. She has
represented the Dallas County Medical Association as a
delegate to the Texas Medical Association House of
Delegates for more than 10 years.
Terri Nuss, MS serves as Vice
President of Patient Centeredness for Baylor Health Care
System. She is currently developing the coaching and
training resources to further cultural adoption of
behaviors related to patient-centered care. She is
refining goal-setting recommendations for the health
care system related to Service, and studying the impact
of internal and external forces on patient satisfaction
and consumer expectations.
Cedrial Moore, RHIA is the Vice
President of Healthcare Operations with CampbellWilson.
Cedrial has over 23 years of health care experience
centered around hospital management, healthcare
consulting, facility operations, business process
reengineering, hospital start-up and overall facility
turnaround.
Margaret Schlachter, RN has
worked as an RN in various roles for the last 34 years,
both in her native Scotland and in Dallas, Texas. For
the last 10 years she has worked in Case Management,
with 3rd party payer regulations, utilization reviews.
Clinical documentation and discharge planning. She has
managed the Parkland’s group of Clinical Documentation
Specialist Nurses from both sides, Care Management and
Hospital Information Management. She and her group are
busily employed with HIM. |
